Who makes South Light Games, and what it is for
This is a small New Zealand site with four casino-style games on it and no money in it. We build the games, write the rules pages, check the maths, and leave the rest alone.
The idea behind it
Casino games are good games. Blackjack has genuine decisions in it, video poker is a neat little puzzle, keno is a slow burn, and dice are dice. Strip the money out and what is left still holds up — that is the whole premise of the site.
So the games here keep their real rules and their real odds, and the stake is a virtual coin that costs nothing to get and is worth nothing to hold. No shop was ever planned, and none will appear. There is no version of this site with a payment page in it.
How we build them
Each game is written from scratch in plain JavaScript, rendered with regular HTML and CSS, and small enough to load on a phone in a second or two. Randomness comes from the browser's own cryptographic generator rather than a home-made shuffle, and no result is weighted, delayed or nudged to feel more exciting than it is.
The artwork is made for this site, one setting per game — a reef, a stone temple, a blossom night and a frozen board. Nothing here borrows a real casino name, a real slot title or anyone else's brand.

What this site is not
- Not a gambling operator. Nothing here takes a stake of real money or pays one out.
- Not an affiliate or a directory. We do not link to casinos, bookmakers or other social casino apps, and we take no referral fees, because there is nobody to take them from.
- Not licensed or regulated. No authority oversees a free browser game, and we never suggest otherwise.
- Not training for real gambling. You will learn the rules of blackjack here. You will not learn how to beat a casino, because that is not a thing these games can teach.
- Not for anyone under 20. The games imitate adult gambling mechanics, so the site is written for adults and presented as such.
Who writes the pages
The guides, rules pages and game notes are written and maintained by the South Light Games editorial desk. We do not publish invented author biographies or stock photographs of people who do not exist, so material is attributed to the desk rather than to a name. How that work is checked is set out in our editorial policy, and mistakes are handled through the corrections page.
